No fee has been charged. Payment is paused until the Division approves your reciprocal registration. You won't be asked to pay before then.
What Happens Next
- If approved — you'll pay the reduced reciprocal fee of $500, and you won't need to provide the additional (second-level) information a first-time applicant does. We'll take you straight to payment.
- If not approved for reciprocity — you can continue as a standard initial applicant: complete the remaining information and pay the $1,000 initial fee.
Reciprocal registration is determined by the Division based on your out-of-state registration and Louisiana's requirements. TBD: final review-status copy + whether a background check is run for reciprocal agents — Olivia (Open Items).
